The American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) is seeking professionals in a variety of expertise areas to share their knowledge and skills at the 2013 AMWA National Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio.

AMWA is the leading association for medical communication professionals. The organization’s annual conference offers educational and networking opportunities for medical communicators who write, edit, or develop materials about medicine and health including journal articles, continuing education materials for physicians and other health care professionals, patient education brochures, web content, regulatory documents, and grant proposals for research scientists.

This year, AMWA especially seeks presentations on topics of special interest, such as

·      Technology

·      Collaborative work styles

·      Communication theory

·      Project management

·      Health care reform

The Call for Program Proposals submission form is available on the AMWA website (www.amwa.org). You can choose among many session formats, designed to enhance interactivity, and we encourage you to suggest innovative formats.

Proposals will be peer reviewed and judged according to their overall quality and relevance to medical communicators, the content of similar proposals and past presentations, and other criteria.
