Seeking graduate students and faculty members who would be willing to participate in the Career Workshop at the ATTW Conference on Wednesday, March 13, in the afternoon (in conjunction with the CCCC). The workshop will be about an hour and fifteen minutes.
The Career Workshop gives graduate students in Technical Communication and Professional Writing opportunities to meet with faculty from a variety of universities. Graduate students and faculty members meet one-to-one in five minute segments, so they can share ideas, talk about the job market, and discuss preparing for the job search.
Graduate students: If this sounds interesting to you, reply to Lisa Meloncon at lisa.meloncon@uc.edu and I will send you more information. If you attend the workshop, you will also receive a 20+ page guide that will help you navigate the job search process from beginning to end.
Faculty: This workshop is always fun, and it's a good way to meet up-and-coming members of our field and potential members of the ATTW. You do not have to be hiring next year to participate. We welcome your expertise and wisdom. There is no preparation. If you might be hiring, though, this workshop is a great way to meet the people who you might want to interview next year. If you can join us, send Lisa Meloncon at lisa.meloncon@uc.edu your name and affiliation.
Thanks everyone. This kind of career networking is one of the vital functions of the ATTW.
