Call for Articles and Teaching Resources

Submission Deadline: Ongoing

Notification of acceptance: Within 30 days of submission

The ATTW Bulletin would like to invite its members to contribute articles and teaching materials to the Bulletin Blog.

To better serve the ATTW membership in November 2011 co-editors Ryan Hoover and Lora Arduser migrated the Bulletin from a twice-a-year html format to an ongoing blog.

One of our goals is to make the blog a community forum and resource so we are recruiting people to write articles for the blog. We’re also trying to expand on the teaching resources ATTW has traditionally offered members on the organization’s web site.

Potential article topics include but are not limited to:

  • Teaching technical communication majors
  • Best practices
  • Medical/science communication
  • Ethics
  • Visual communication
  • New technologies
  • Usability practices

Recommended article length is 2,000-3,000 words. Submissions will be vetted by the Bulletin editors but will not be sent out for peer review.

Potential teaching resources include:

  • Syllabi for traditional TC classes
  • Syllabi for innovative and/or unique classes
  • Approaches for handling challenging classroom situations
  • Innovative assignments, particularly those using new technologies or service learning
  • Peer editing techniques

Please send ideas, articles, resources and questions to Lora Arduser (lora.arduser@uc.edu), Bulletin Co-Editor.
