CFP: Special Edition on Spanish and English writing in the Americas

The journal of Rhetoric, Professional Communication, and Globalization (www.rpcg.org)  announces a call for papers for a special edition. Its topic is how Spanish and English influence rhetoric and writing in the Americas.  You can view the announcement here: http://www.rpcg.org/index.php?journal=rpcg&page=announcement

The journal is particularly interested in how the presence of Spanish, in all its varieties, levels of fluency, and dialects plays out among the diverse students in U.S. writing classrooms, and conversely, how the spread and roles of English in Mexico and Latin America influence ESL writing instruction there.  The journal is also interested in developing effectively pedagogies for Spanish/English bilingual writers in both the U.S. and Latin America.

The journal welcomes a diversity of theories and methodologies but in keeping with RPCG criteria, the journal asks that articles be informed by appropriate cross-linguistic and intercultural approaches.  You can view the criteria here: http://www.rpcg.org/index.php?journal=rpcg&page=about&op=editorialPolicies#focusAndScope
