This year the STC J. R. Gould Award for Excellence in Teaching Award Committee is seeking nominations from you for this award.  Please help us recognize excellence in teaching through this award.

Nominees for the award must have at least 15 years of experience in post-secondary education and have made a primary career in teaching technical communication (not just in administration).  While the award primarily recognizes teaching, those who have done some program administration may be nominated.  Nominees (even retired persons) must have been members of STC for 10 years. Gould Award Guidelines http://www.stc.org/membership/recognition/awards/1215-jay-r-gould-award on the STC web page.  If you have someone in mind to nominate but aren’t sure of his or her eligibility, we can check that for you if you send me the name. 

If you nominate someone, the committee will contact that person and notify him or her of the nomination and request materials.  The nominations for this year’s award are due by November 2, 2012.
