2013

TCQ authors received four prestigious awards at the 2013 ATTW/CCCC conference in Las Vegas, NV:

 

  • Michele Simmons and Meredith Zoetewey, winners of the Nell Ann Pickett award for the best TCQ article, for “Productive Usability: Fostering Civic Engagement and Creating More Useful Online Spaces for Public Deliberation” (TCQ 21.3)
  • Jessica Reyman and Mary Lay Schuster, winners of the CCCC Award in the category of Best Original Collection of Essays in Technical or Scientific Communication, for their guest-edited special issue of TCQ, “Technical Communication and the Law” (TCQ 20.1)
  • Cheryl E. Ball, winner of the CCCC Award in the category of Best Article on Pedagogy or Curriculum in Technical or Scientific Communication, for “Assessing Scholarly Multimedia: A Rhetorical Genre Studies Approach” (TCQ 21.1)
  • Sarah Read, winner of the CCCC Award in the category of Best Article Report Historical Research or Textual Studies in Technical and Scientific Communication, for “The Mundane, Power, and Symmetry: A Reading of the Field with Dorothy Winsor and the Tradition of Ethnographic Research” (TCQ 20.4)
