The Technical Editing SIG is offering two scholarships of $1400 each. The first scholarship assists students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in technical communication (or a related area, such as professional writing or digital media) and the second assists students who are pursuing a graduate degree in technical communication (or a related area, such as professional writing or digital media).

The Communication Committee of the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing (ATTW) is sponsoring a contest to design a logo for use in many of its newly redesigned communication channels. This contest will provide an opportunity for students and faculty members to employ their visual communication skills. The winning designer will win $100. Up to two honorable mentions of $50 each may be awarded as well.
The ATTW Bulletin now has a new format! Articles, announcements, CFPs, news stories, and teaching resources will now all be published using a blog-styled format.
