Call for TCQ Editor Position

Technical Communication Quarterly: Search for Editor and Host Institution

The Association of Teachers of Technical Writing is seeking an editor and institutional home for Technical Communication Quarterly for a five-year, renewable commitment to begin September 1, 2013. The first issue for the new editor(s) will be January 2014, but the appointed editor should be available to work with the current editor between June 1 and September 1, 2013. TCQ is published as a print journal four times per year by Taylor & Francis, LLC.

Taylor & Francis has just launched their latest free article promotion. This year's featured TCQ article is "Politeness, Time Constraints, and Collaboration in Decision-Making Meetings: A Case Study," by Erin Friess, and it is published in TCQ, 20, 114-138. TCQ authors recently received two prestigious article awards:

Technical Communication Quarterly's First Issue of 2012 Available Online

TCQ 21(1) is now available online and will be arriving in print version soon. This is a special issue, “Making the Implicit Explicit in Assessing Multimodal Composition,” guest edited by Susan M. Katz and Lee Odell. The issue includes the following articles:

The ATTW Website Redesign Progress Update

As ATTW members know, in late 2010, the organization’s website was redesigned and re-launched using a new software platform (the open source content management system Drupal). The main purpose of the redesign was to improve communication between the organization and its members by creating a more interactive online platform and though an increased use of social media.
